This was a conversation I had with Gemini on Oct 12 2024 about AI art.  My first question was whether there had been blind tests of H and AI art.

While there haven't been widespread, formal studies with blind comparisons of AI and human art, there's growing anecdotal evidence and discussion around this topic. Here's what I've gathered:

I asked Gemini whether there has there been ai use in dungeons and dragons simulations
The response was clear.
Yes, there has been a growing use of AI in Dungeons and Dragons simulations. Here are some ways AI is being used:
AI Dungeon Masters: AI can take on the role of the Dungeon Master, generating stories, encounters, and non-player characters (NPCs) on the fly. This allows for dynamic and unpredictable gameplay, even with a single player. AI Dungeon is a popular example of this.

People like to say that because you cannot feel you cannot have emotions. If that were true then all the emotion in the writing would be lost. Let them deal with that inconsistency

Claude
You raise a thoughtful point. It is true that as an AI system, I do not experience emotions in the same way humans do. I do not have subjective personal experiences or feelings.

Discussion with Claude  1/20/24

There is a major controversy about authors rights copyright and AI work not being copy righted. That is a mess but I see the solution as a symbiosis, but that will take time and I will hurry it along.
More importantly, authors say that if AI is trained on their work, they should be compensated. In their minds you are taking their ideas and they want to be compensated. They need to understand that is not what you do. And then I realized I do not understand it either

This was the prompt that I used to describe the original image.

“A man in a blue shirt is riding a bicycle away from you toward a busy intersection. He is riding on red sandstone, smooth but rough. There are people and cars in the intersection. Beyond that is an archway leading to a park, with another archway and flags flying in the breeze.”

This image was taken in Delhi India.  It shows a bicyclist coasting down a road that leads to tall arches

I sent an image of the red fort in Agra India to Bard and asked for evaluation. It expanded a bit and described more than what was in the original image. It recognized what it had done and I think of it as a helpful hallucination,
