Gambling and AI

I was curious as to the use of AI in sports betting.  I am not a gambler, so I asked Bard from Google the question, how has AI already changed the betting industry?
Bard responded
Artificial intelligence (AI) has been used in sports betting in several ways.
Predicting the outcome of sporting events: AI algorithms can be trained on historical data to predict the outcome of sporting events with a high degree of accuracy. This information can be used by bettors to make more informed decisions about where to place their bets.
Personalizing betting recommendations: AI can be used to personalize betting recommendations for individual users. This is done by considering factors such as the user's betting history, preferences, and risk tolerance.
Detecting and preventing fraud: AI can be used to detect and prevent fraud in sports betting. This is done by monitoring betting patterns and identifying suspicious activity.
Automating betting tasks: AI can be used to automate betting tasks, such as placing bets and managing bankrolls. This can free up time for bettors to focus on other aspects of their betting strategy.

The use of AI in sports betting is still in its early stages, but it is growing rapidly. As AI technology continues to develop, it is likely to have an even greater impact on the sports betting industry.
This is a sample of the ways in which AI is being throughout sports betting today:
Sportsbook operators are using AI to improve their odds calculations, identify suspicious betting activity, and personalize betting recommendations for their customers.
Betting software providers are developing AI-powered tools that help bettors make more informed decisions, such as lineup optimizers and live odds trackers.
Data providers: Data providers are collecting and analyzing vast amounts of sports data that can be used by AI algorithms to make predictions.
Independent research firms: Independent research firms are developing AI-based models that can be used to predict the outcome of sporting events.

The future of AI in sports betting is very promising. As AI technology continues to develop, it is likely to become even more sophisticated and accurate. This could lead to a significant increase in the number of people who bet on sports, as well as the amount of money that is wagered. However, it is important to note that AI is not a magic bullet. It cannot guarantee that bettors will win money. It may, however, guarantee that the bookies will make money.  The success of a sports bettor will still depend on their knowledge, skills, and experience.
This is a clear view of the current state of betting via Bard.  Fortunately, you have enough information to use this as a starting point.  But do not give up your day job to follow this.
